Seattle Mariners Reinstate Cal Raleigh and J.P. Crawford from Injured List

The Seattle Mariners have announced the reinstatement of catcher Cal Raleigh and infielder J.P. Crawford from the 10-day Injured List, as confirmed by Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander. Raleigh returns after recovering from a right oblique strain that sidelined him since May 14. During his rehab assignment, he showcased impressive performance, batting .412 with five home runs and 12 RBIs across five games. In 41 games this season, Raleigh has struggled at the plate with a .161 batting average but is coming off a remarkable 2025 season where he hit 60 home runs and recorded 125 RBIs.

J.P. Crawford, who has been a key player for the Mariners, was placed on the injured list due to a right hand contusion sustained from a hit-by-pitch on June 5. Before his injury, Crawford had played in 55 games this season, batting .228 with 10 home runs and 23 RBIs. As the longest-tenured active player on the Mariners, Crawford has made significant contributions to the team over his eight seasons, including winning the AL Gold Glove award in 2020.

In addition to these reinstatements, the Mariners have optioned catcher Jhonny Pereda and infielder Patrick Wisdom to Triple-A Tacoma, adjusting their roster to a full 26 players. Pereda had a solid stint with the Mariners, batting .270 in 19 games, while Wisdom's performance led to his reassignment after the game on June 14.

With both Raleigh and Crawford back in the lineup, the Seattle Mariners are looking to strengthen their roster as they head into crucial games in the season. The return of these players is expected to enhance the team's offensive capabilities and defensive stability, which are vital for their playoff aspirations.
